3d workshop

Image
One of our 3D workshops involved embroidery this helped me learn skills of how to stitch and create interesting elements on top of pre digitally edited images as seen in my 3D practice image. These coloured lines which can be seen in this image are intact pieces of thread stuck onto  adhesive foam along the angular cut outs of the image to create a element of separation and division to the image, these pieces of thread were then secured at the ends by stitching them to the external foam board. This work shop also taught me how to incorporate physical objects into my work rather than just computer edits allowing me unique creativity to create my pieces which stand out from most. overall this was a great workshop which enhanced my creative skills in post production of images to create much more unique work.

Before going straight into my final analogue 3D I decided to do a practice piece, this involved taking an A3 sheet of adhesive foam board which used as a backing piece for my image, my image of choice was a low key portrait which I took in the studio and edited on photoshop, I then printed this image onto A4 premium luster paper using the Epson printer. This image I then drew on with a sharpie to emphasise all the key lines and features of the face this created an added feature to the physical image, I then cut the image into sections to create a puzzle type of style, next u stuck all of the puzzle pieces in order to the centre of the foam board sheet by peeling off the backing. to give this image yet another element of interest I took some coloured thread and laid it across all of the gaps in the puzzle pieces almost visually separating the image into sections, the thread was also attached with the adhesion of the foam board. finally I collected all sorts of brightly coloured ru...

Adobe After Effects. 0.2 re sub

Image
This video went well due to the fact that i was able to successfully blend the background after removing the subject to create a seamless result as iff nothing had changed, it also went well in my opinion because i created the exact idea i had in my head, I also think this went well because I was able to clearly show the Bike moving seemingly away as it changed size and got smaller this created another more interesting element to my composition. I do however think that the video could have gone better because I could Have created another layer of the moon and stretched it and made it move because that would have added another interesting element, I also think i should have removed the tree from the video in Photoshop because it is hard to tell exactly what it is.

The first step in creating this video was choosing my image from Google, made my decision by checking that the background of the image was relatively uniform and would be easy to fill having removed the subject, the second step to making my decision was checking that the subject of the image, in this case the bike was minimally detailed and would be easily to select in Photoshop, my subject was a silhouette therefor it was very blocky and easy to draw round. My second step in creating this video was taking the JPEG file and dragging it into Photoshop, having taken it into Photoshop I used the quick selection tool to draw round the subject, I then copied the selected area (subject) and pasted it to create a new layer, I then moved to the background layer and deleted the subject from that layer as I already had a copy of the subject I created just before, now after deleting the subject from the background layer selected the hole from the removal and filled it by going “edit”, “fill”...

Stop motion narrative re sub

Image
Stop motion is type of photography where multiple images are shot, in my case 94 but sometimes there can be thousands of images, these images are all taken in jpeg format rather the the higher quality raw format, we did this so that in post production it would be much faster for the images to process in Photoshop, to put these images into a video format we saved them into a separate folder all in order beginning to end, we then imported these images into Photoshop and stitched the images together, this created a video where we could altar the intervals between frames making for a faster or slower overall video. This went well because I was able to show a story clearly through taking multiple pictures and stitching them together in Adobe Premier pro, this story shows the making of a sandwich in a more interesting way other than normal video, i fell like it went well because you cannot see any human interaction between the objects and the way in which they move, this makes it seem al...
