Stop motion narrative re sub

Image
Stop motion is type of photography where multiple images are shot, in my case 94 but sometimes there can be thousands of images, these images are all taken in jpeg format rather the the higher quality raw format, we did this so that in post production it would be much faster for the images to process in Photoshop, to put these images into a video format we saved them into a separate folder all in order beginning to end, we then imported these images into Photoshop and stitched the images together, this created a video where we could altar the intervals between frames making for a faster or slower overall video. This went well because I was able to show a story clearly through taking multiple pictures and stitching them together in Adobe Premier pro, this story shows the making of a sandwich in a more interesting way other than normal video, i fell like it went well because you cannot see any human interaction between the objects and the way in which they move, this makes it seem al...

Movement resubmission

Image
In this project we had to clearly portray time in the form of some kind of image, video, or a GIF. I Chose to display my captured time in the form of a static image, this is because movement adds a new element iff you show it as a picture, the added element movement creates can be seen as distortion in a composition. My composition involved capturing the movement of multiple vehicles in a dark environment (around 8pm in Trafalgar Square, London) using a long exposure, in some of these images I used a flash to freeze the subject but at the same time blur the background to create distortion, I did this by following the vehicle in its tracks with the camera while it was exposing. To take these photos I used my Canon 550D DSLR crop sensor camera, I edited these images in Photoshop cc and I shot the images in RAW so that they could be more precisely edited in photoshop, I then converted them to JPEG files to take up less space having been edited. My images clearly display time due to ...

pinhole final outcome resubmission

Image
This is my pinhole final outcome. After being exposed for three months i removed the light sensitive paper from the can in the dark and placed the paper into a light tight box, iff the paper was wet from rain we used a hair dryer in the dark room to dry it out. Next we set up a camera (nikon D750 DSLR) on a tripod facing down to a jig to hold the image, we next very thinly taped the edges of the image to the board under the camera to hold the corners still. once the image was framed correctly on the DSLR we adjusted the settings to have a large aperture and balanced it with the shutter speed, we then took the photo and uploaded it to photoshop, this photoshop file we then inverted because the light sensitive paper show. the colours inverted, Having done this i adjusted the grammar correction and brightness and contrast using curves and levels to make the image more appealing and make every element of the image more visible, i also cropped the image to my liking I think this ima...

Evaluation U6 3D

I have learned from this project how to edit multiple singular images into videos using photoshop and Premiere pro, I have also learned how to create an overall sucessful gif in photoshop. During this project one mistake I made was firstly shooting multiple images in the raw format to create a stop motion animation, however raw was far too big of a file size so I had to reshoot these images and convert the raw files to jpeg which inset another thing I learned how to do in photoshop. I have improved on these mistakes by changing my camera settings to jpeg when shooting multiple images which will be stitched into a video format.
