Justin Quinnell

Justin Quinnell is a photographer who's style is very original and consists mostly of the pinhole technique which he has mastered, Quinnell's style is very unique and strange some of his images showing the view from inside a mouth.

Quinnell first got into pinhole photography because he was the head of photography at "A not to influential area of bristol", none of his students could afford the high prices of modern cameras however they could afford multiple cans of coke through out the day, so to get around the issue he decided to get his students to make cameras out of the coke cans in the form of pinhole cameras which helped Quinnell begin to use the photography method more and this was all before the existence of internet meaning that Quinnell was unaware of anyone else using the process.

One reason Quinnell enjoys pinhole is because it is so cost effective and cheap however he also feels that pinhole is very anti commercial giving a division between main stream and origionality in photography, Quinnell was also supporting green party and it was felt that photography was destructive however pinhole gets around that.
One day whilst in the train back from teaching Quinnell found himself receiving a call from a phone director this eventually lead to his photos being published in a film called "The Brother's Bloom" this was a major achievement for Quinell.
